Bruce Wang is an assistant professor in the division of gastroenterology and department of medicine at the University of California San Francisco. He runs the UCSF Porphyria Center and is a principal investigator in the US Porphyrias Consortium.
He has a particular focus on improving the clinical diagnosis of porphyrias and evaluating drug safety in acute hepatic porphyrias. In addition to porphyria research, he also runs a research laboratory studying liver biology.
